In Case You Are Concerned

According to this site, it is currently beyond the power of humanity to destroy the Earth anytime in the near future.  This means that no matter how bad a President Bush is or how crazy the “End-Times” crowd gets, the Earth will just keep on spinning.

“The Earth is built to last. It is a 4,550,000,000-year-old, 5,973,600,000,000,000,000,000-tonne ball of iron. It has taken more devastating asteroid hits in its lifetime than you’ve had hot dinners, and lo, it still orbits merrily. So my first piece of advice to you, dear would-be Earth-destroyer, is: do NOT think this will be easy.”

The site includes many ways you can reassure yourself that the Earth has not been destroyed.  My personal favorite is the Earth-Destruction Alert Level button which I’ve added below as a service to my readers.

  1. What they fail to take into account is that while humans probably can’t physically destroy the entire Earth any time soon, we can make it uninhabitable for humans and other creatures.

Surely that thought must cross their minds?

  2. Dee, check the FAQ on their site.
