RIP Paul Newman

He passed away yesterday at age 83.  It’s my belief that when someone like Paul Newman, who has led as long full life, dies it’s more a time for reflection than mourning.  In addition to his acting career, his company, Newman’s Own, has contributed more than $220 million to various charities.  He also served in World War 2.  Of course I’ll remember him best for this.

  1. He will be missed, you know he was a CT guy….

  2. nice post. Slapshot is one of my husband’s favs as well. There are so many good films that Paul Newman did that I have trouble choosing one. I loved The Hustler and The Verdict and The Sting so I guess those would be my top three. Such a loss for us. Sympathies and condolences to his family [both blood and otherwise in the acting community, racing community and charitable community as well].

  3. Paul Newman is a legend for his work in movies, and he’s a stud for all his work outside of movies
